Ground Zero, World Trade Center, NY.
This photo was taken on October 12, 2001 out of World Financial #3, the same day as GRZ OO2. This was not where I had planned to take the picture, but security was very tight and I had to take what I could get. I set up in a window blown out by the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers. I was on the 5th or 6th floor. As I was looking around, I could see the whole inside of the building beside me had also been blown out by the collapse. The building I was in had the side taken off of it too. If you look closely at the photo you can see a water stream pointed towards a hot spot in the debris. Even after a month there were still places on fire. The red coverings that you see on the buildings in the background were there to prevent glass from hitting people below them. Glass was falling out of buildings weeks after the actual attacks. This photo is 9.5" x 28". FF_GRZ_003.
